1. Identify your topic and thesis from lesson 1. You may have revised your thesis as you have gone through the lessons…if so, please include both statements so that I can see how your thesis has changed.

To create your APA Style Annotated Bibliography you will use the citations from the 5 to 10 sources that you have identified on your topic.(Lessons 4 & 5) These sources may be from websites (only 2 please), academic journals, magazines, newspapers, or other information sources that you’ve found on your topic that address your thesis statement (Lesson 1). You must provide at least 5 citations and annotations.
3. After logging in to your personal Academic WriterLinks to an external site. account. Go to the 1.”References” Tab, select either manage or add references. Once references are created in this tab, 2.select those references you’d like to be in the annotated bibliography, 3. select the “Tools” button at the top of the page, and from the drop-down list 4. choose to Create Annotated Bibliography.

**Use Chrome as the browser to access Academic Writer.
Register in Academic Writer
Sign up for an account by clicking on “Welcome”, selecting “Log in” and clicking on “No account? Create one here”. (login firstname.lastname@example.org & pw: tone0912)
Find the Green “Reference” Tab. Choose “Add References” and then “Create”.
Choose the type of source which you have to create the correct citation reference. ( examples: journal article, newspaper article, magazine article, webpage).
Do this process for each source. Select all 5 sources you have created.
Then as noted above in Step 3 – Select the Tools button, and then as noted in Step 4 – enter your title “Annotated Bibliography”
This will open up a page in the red “Write” tab, for you to create your annotated bibliography. Each of the 5 sources you created will appear with a text box for you to add your annotation for each source. The text you type is auto-saved as you work in this document.
Be sure to follow the directions at the top of the page to create your Annotated Bibliography.
Add annotations to your references on the Annotations tab. You can also add the notes you wrote under each reference to enhance or edit the annotations.
Select Preview to see your annotated bibliography formatted in APA Style. Select Export to download your annotated bibliography.

Export as: Word or PDF
Choose Export from the left navigation bar. Then, choose to “Download” the paper to Word.
Cleanup the Word document notes to reflect the annotations as needed.
