Good work on the draft. Your intro
and thesis work nicely.
Your paragraphs are well organized.
Your focus is on imagery
This phrase is awkward–the author takes the readers’ beautiful pictures —
“takes” is the wrong word there.
You don’t need this phrase–Based on the author’s words, –because Burns is the author.
He’s not basing anything on his own words. It’s not logical.
You have to quote the lines in each paragraph. You use lines
from the poem without quotation marks.
You repeat yourself as well about the “red, red roses.” Either combine
those parts of your paper or omit it in 2nd body paragraph.
Why do you have Burns and Robert. Just use the last name and the line number or page number in a citation.
Also, your APA is not correct. Last name, first initial, date poem title and then our book author and title.
