While watching the video, take detailed notes to help you do the analysis for your report.

Part 2: Analyze and write the different developmental skills that you have observed

After your video observation, you will analyze your notes to report on the child’s physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development in a written report. Your paper should be a minimum of 3 pages long, typed and double-spaced in 12-inch font. Include a References page.

Use your observation notes, information from the Developmental Milestones resources provided on Canvas, our textbook, and your growing knowledge of child development to answer the ALL of the questions on the next page. Feel free to use additional resources as well.

Organize your report as outlined below:

1. Physical Development:

What fine motor skills did you observe the child using? Describe at least 3 specific examples.
How does the child’s development in this domain compare with typical milestones for this age? Explain.
b.Gross motor:

What gross motor skills did you observe the child using? Describe at least 3 specific examples.
How does the child’s development in this domain compare with typical milestones for this age? Explain.

Is this what we would expect for his or her age? Explain.

3. Language Development:

a. Expressive Language (child’s ability to communicate to others)

Discuss your observations of the child’s language skills and compare them to typical milestones for this age. How many words and/or length of sentence should the child have for his or her age? Did you see evidence of this? Give examples. If the child did not use words, describe the sounds they made or forms of non-verbal communication skills used. Describe at least 3 examples.
b. Receptive Language (child’s ability to understand what is said to him/her by others)

Did the child understand what was said to him or her by others? How do you know? Provide examples.

4. Social Emotional Development:
